What Does it take to Become a Foster or Adoptive Parent?
Some of the basics…
- Be of good moral character.
- Submit an application.
- Have a desire to care for children.
- Be at least 21 years old.
- Take first aid and CPR training.
- All members of your household “on board” with fostering or adopting.
- Have your finger prints taken.
- Provide the names of four references, unrelated to you.
- Attend 20 hours of training.
- Have a medical exam (everyone over 18 in household).
